Youth Rugby Academy

July 12 - July 14, 2010

The Glendale Rugby Football Club will run its Youth Rugby Academy from July 12-14, 2010, 9am-4pm each day. The academy is for both boys and girls, ages 13 – 18. Players will be placed in different age groups and ability levels.

The cost per participant is $150.00. Paperwork and payment is due by July 6^th. After that date, payment will increase to $170.00.

Each participant will receive professional instruction, one-on-one critique, new training ideas, a t-shirt, playbook, lunch and snacks each day.

The Rugby Academy will take place at Glendale Infinity Park.

Instructional Outline and Daily Schedule:

The Glendale Academy also focuses on nutrition, tackling, conditioning, speed/strength, fitness and agility. Players will receive instruction for rugby training, but each skill can be used in many other sports.

8:30am – Arrive
9:00am – Individual Position Skills
12:00pm – Lunch (provided)
1:00pm – Team Skills
4:00pm – Depart

Division 1 Glendale Raptor players and more special guest coaches at the National Level will make appearances

Location:

The training facility for the Glendale Rugby Academy is the first municipally-owned rugby stadium in the United States – Infinity Park, Glendale CO.

The training center has two international size rugby pitches, Glendale Sports Center and the High Altitude Training Center designed specifically for athletes.

USA Rugby Men’s Club Championships and Men’s Collegiate National All Star Championship has been held at Infinity Park for three consecutive years. The Churchill Cup, hosting teams from around the world, will be in Glendale for a second year in a row.

IRANZ (International Rugby Academy New Zealand) will return to Infinity Park in July, 2010.
